"Tilt", a film by Viktor Chouchkov, based on same titled script by Boris Chouchkov and Dimitar Kotzev will be presented during Cent East market, focused on Central and Eastern European film industry. The project has been developed in the 1st edition of ScripTeast with help and advice of Bill Forsyth ("Local Hero", "Gregory's Girl") and Bern Lichtenberg ("Good bye Lenin").
"Tilt", a love story taking place just before the revolutionary events of November 1989, is already anticipated to be a "generational film on the Bulgarian transition". It is produced by Bulgarian company Chouchkov Brothers Ltd, with Boris Chouchkov as the main producer and Germany's Guido Schwab and Marcel Lenz of Ostlicht Filmproduktion. "Tilt" received funding from the Bulgarian National Film Center and Bulgarian National Television. It is also the first ever film to get support from the cultural fund of the Sofia Municipality. German financing came mostly from the MDM regional fund.
Eight week long shooting took place on locations in Germany and Bulgaria, with Yavor Baharov, Radina Kardjilova, Ivailo Dragiev and Ovanes Torosyan in leading roles.
The film is planned to open in the beginning of 2010, both in Bulgaria and internationally.
The presentation will take place on the 16th of October 2009, at 3pm, kino Kultura, Warsaw.
