“Archeo” by Jan Cvitkovič is the 5th script out of the 3 edition of ScripTeast that gets into production. It is the 3rd feature film by Cvitkovič, whose previous pictures (“Bread and Milk”, “Gravehopping”) won awards at festivals in Venice, San Sebastian, Sofia and Cottbus, to name a few.
“Archeo” took part in the 2nd edition of ScripTeast and was developed with help of Christian Routh, Ula Stoeckl and Jonathan English. The story relates to universal archetypes, with Man, Woman and a young boy who don't know each other and slowly develop relationships.
The film is produced by Jožko Rutar of Staragara (Slovenia) with technical support from Viba Film (Slovenia), the co-producers are Igor Prinčič from Transmedia (Italy), Andras Muhi from Inforg Studio (Hungary) and Slovenian public broadcaster RTV Slovenia.
“Archeo” received support from Slovenian Film Fund, Friuli Venezia Giulia Film Commision (Italy), Motion Picture Public Foundation of Hungary and Media Programme.
The film is planned to be released in the second half of 2010.
