Olive Films picked “Womb” by Benedek Fliegauf for theatrical distribution in USA.
During Cannes Film Festival in 2008 Hungarian director and scriptwriter - Benedek Fliegauf - won Krzysztof Kieslowski ScripTeast Award. Fliegauf had been working for a year with his script during the second edition of ScripTeast Program, one of the most important training programs in Eastern and Central Europe.
Olive Films specializes in distributing art and independent cinema both as theatrical and DVD release. The cinema premiere of “Womb” in United States is scheduled for 2011.
The international premiere of the film took place this year in August during the film festival in Locarno where it won Junior Jury Award.
“Womb” is a French-German-Hungarian co-production produced by Razor Film, Inforg Stúdió Budapest, A.S.A.P Films, ZDF/ Arte and Arte Cinéma. The international sales agent of the film is Match Factory.
ScripTeast is one of the most effective programs in this part of Europe – “Womb” is one of seven already produced films that took part in ScripTeast. Eight further projects have been already prepared to be produced.
