Director and film producer, president of Apple Film Production. He was IInd Director on "Decalogue" by Krzysztof Kieślowski and Ist Assistant of Director on the "White Visiting Card" and "Magnate" by Filip Bajon. He was the producer and director of the first Polish independent documentary film "The Visit of an Elderly Lady" (1986).
In 1990 he has founded Apple Film Production, which to date has produced more than 21 documentaries, 12 feature films and 15 tele-plays. Most of theses productions were co-produced with Polish Television, Canal+, WDR, ARTE and independent producers from Germany, France, UK, Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia.
Organizer of Polish Film Awards and a founder of Independent Film Foundation, created to promote ambitious film creativity. He is a member of the European and Polish Film Academy.
